Edgar Allen Poe; The Birds and Something Wicked This Way Comes

Have you ever picked up a book started reading it and realized it sounded familiar?  It is like I have read this book before or seen the movie before too.  I did this recently in my reading adventures.  I very seldom look at people's reviews of books and love forming my own opinion.  What you like or don't like might just be right up my alley.

I was seeing great reviews for When Mockingbirds Sing by Billy Coffey and it was a highly anticipated read for this year.   I put myself on the waiting list at my local Library to read it on my NOOK.  After waiting to read it, I finally got it!  The moment you pick up the book you are taken in and it makes you feel like you are in a movie The Birds or Something Wicked This Way Comes.

It has been a while that a book has drawn me in to the point that you can "see" the images and it is very thought provoking too.   My questions were:   How many times do I miss judge people?   How often do I put myself in as judge and jury?   How many times do I point fingers with a holier than thou attitude?  These are just a few of the questions that came about from reading this book

I know people do not think that you can learn from a fiction book.   They think that it has to be nonfiction and expounding on the Bible in order for you to learn from it, but it was not the case for this avid reader.   I took this story and the questions that it forced me to ask myself and take a good long look at myself.

I highly recommend this book!
