REVIEW FOR SARAH E. LADD

The Headmistress of Rosemere
Thomas Nelson Publisher   ISBN-13: 978-1401688363

I received this book free from Sarah E. Ladd on her Facebook Page.  I was not paid any monetary compensation for my review whether good or negative.

WOW!!!   It has been a long time since I have read books where the setting is the Regency Era.
It felt so good to be taken back into time.  It grabs your attention from the first sentence and there is never a dull moment.  Step back into time of Boarding Schools, Estates, Money, Power and Prestige.  All of a sudden reality is that people hide behind those masks and what ends up being revealed is broken people who need God.  Things do not buy you happiness no matter how hard you try it does not work without God being in the center of it all.

The weather setting was winter.  It was cold, dreary and very bleak.   It set the whole tone of the book even the characters Patience Creighton and William Sterling both had a bleak outlook of life in general.  It is amazing how weather can set the tone of a book and people's outlook of life.

It is amazing when Patience and William both step back and stop trying things their way and start doing things God's way how things work out for them.

I am really excited about this series and can't wait for the third book in this series.   Also, since this is a new author I can't wait to read more from her!
