Colleen Coble’s Melt into Summer Giveaway and ‘A Heart’s Betrayal’ Blog Tour

A Heart’s Betrayal (Thomas Nelson, June 2015)
Emmie finds shelter in the arms of a soldier, but her secret could drive them apart.

When Emmie Croftner answered the door to her late husband’s home, she discovered an awful truth: her deceased husband was a bigamist. And what’s more, the home she thought she inherited never belonged to her at all.
Suddenly displaced, powerless, and ashamed, Emmie can’t stay in Wabash, Indiana. She makes a hopeful start for Fort Laramie, Wyoming, to find her friend Sarah Montgomery and a new beginning. But when she arrives, she discovers she’s pregnant—and without a husband. The new start she’d hoped for slips from her fingers.

But then she meets Isaac Liddle, a handsome soldier with a kind heart. When he begins to court her, Emmie wonders whether she could ever really be his—and whether she dares to tell him she is carrying another man’s baby.

MY REVIEW OF THIS READ:  This is book four in the Journey of the Heart Novella Series.  This finds Emmie alone and widowed in Wabash, Indiana.   Her thoughts turn to her friend Sarah Montgomery and Fort Laramie, Wyoming.   Once she finds out how her husband had deceived her then she sets out alone for a journey to the unknown.

Will she find love again?  Will her secret tear every hope of any happiness?   How will she manage being alone and pregnant?  Is there hope for her to find true love, happiness and a father for her baby? Join Colleen as she takes you on the Journey to the West before the West was won.

Deborah Raney's 'Two Roads Home' 5-Book Giveaway

About the book:
Two Roads Home (Abingdon Press, June 2015)

What if it's too late for dreams to come true?

Minor---but-nagging setbacks continue to sour Grant and Audrey Whitman's initiation into the world of innkeeping, but larger challenges brew when an innocent flirtation leads to big trouble for the Whitmans' son-in-law, Jesse. Jesse Pennington's friendly, outgoing personality has always served him well, especially in a career that has earned him and his wife Corinne a very comfortable lifestyle. But Corinne and Jesse are both restless---and for similar reasons, if only they could share those with each other. Instead, too many business trips and trumped-up charges of harassment from a disgruntled coworker threaten their marriage and possibly put their three precious daughters at risk.

With their life in disarray, God is tugging at their hearts to pursue other dreams. Can Corinne and Jesse pick up the pieces of what was once a wonderful life before it all crumbles beneath them?

She and her husband, Ken, recently traded small-town life in Kansas-the setting of many of Deborah's novels-for life in the (relatively) big city of Wichita, where they enjoy gardening, antiquing, movies, and traveling to visit four children and a growing brood of grandchildren who all live much too far away.

MY REVIEW OF THIS READ:  This is book two in the Chicory Lane series.   Deborah takes you back into the lives of Grant and Audrey Whitman's busy Bed & Breakfast they opened after becoming empty nesters.  It also takes you back into the lives of their children.

This book still finds Grant and Audrey struggling with balancing a new business and family life.   It goes into the life of Corinne and Jesse Pennington's life.  They seem to have it all on the outside a perfect marriage, a beautiful expensive custom built home and three beautiful children.  Looks can be deceiving, Jesse is an outgoing person and is friendly with everyone, but when his friendliness is taken in the wrong way ends up with trumped up charges against him that puts not only his job and future in jeopardy.   It can even harm his family.

Come join Deborah as she brings you into the lives of Corinne and Jesse Pennington as they deal with a Stalker, career changes, buying/selling a new home.   How will they cope with all the changes happening?  Will it bring them together or tear them apart?

Jody Hedlund’s ‘Hearts Made Whole’ Prize Pack Giveaway and Facebook Party

{MORE ABOUT HEARTS MADE WHOLE}

Hearts Made Whole (Bethany House, June 2015)
Can she forgive the hurting man who costs her the role she loves?
After her father’s death, Caroline Taylor has grown confident running the Windmill Point Lighthouse. But in 1865 Michigan, women aren’t supposed to have such roles, so it’s only a matter of time before the lighthouse inspector appoints a new keeper–even though Caroline has nowhere else to go and no other job available to her.

Ryan Chambers is a Civil War veteran still haunted by the horrors of battle. He’s secured the position of lighthouse keeper mostly for the isolation–the chance to hide from his past is appealing. He’s not expecting the current keeper to be a feisty and beautiful woman who’s angry with him for taking her job and for his inability to properly run the light. When his failings endanger others, he and Caroline realize he’s in no shape to run the lighthouse, but he’s unwilling to let anyone close enough to help. Caroline feels drawn to this wounded soul, but with both of them relying on that single position, can they look past their loss to a future filled with hope…and possibly love?

MY REVIEW:  I must admit that this is my very first read from this author and I am really excited to read more from this author.

This is the second book in the Beacons of Hope Series.   The setting is after the Civil War and at Windmill Point Lighthouse Michigan in 1865.   Caroline Taylor has been helping her father run the lighthouse.  Caroline's sister Sarah is sick and in trying to get her the much needed medicine tragedy strikes.

Caroline finds herself trying to keep her family together in a society that frowns on a woman doing what they deem as "man's" work.   How will she be able to keep her family together?   How will she manage with no home and no way to support her brothers and sisters?

Ryan is the newly hired lightkeeper and is recovering from injuries sustained in the War. Can he heal from his physical and emotional wounds from the War?  What will it cost him?

Can he and Caroline move past their hurts, loses and find love or will they let it get in the way and will they endanger others in the process.

Don't miss Jody Hedlund's new book, Hearts Made Whole, a story of loss, forgiveness, hope, and true love set in 1865 Michigan. When Ryan's failings endanger others, he and Caroline realize he’s in no shape to run the lighthouse, but he’s unwilling to let anyone close enough to help. Can Caroline forgive the hurting man who costs her the role she loves?
