Hi!  Here is hoping all who read and follow my blog have had a great Thanksgiving.  This is the very first year that my parents and I did not spend Thanksgiving at home.  We decided this year to spend Thanksgiving in Nashville, TN instead of at Christmas time in Nashville.

So, since I am an avid reader and have just been introduced to Historical Christian Fiction and I must say am thoroughly enjoying it.  I had never read Tamera Alexander's books and last year read the book To Whisper Her Name.  The era is Civil War and the setting for this book is Belle Meade Plantation in Nashville, TN.  I also read her book A Lasting Impression and again the era is the Civil War and the setting is Belmont Mansion in Nashville, TN.  As I read the books and discovered that we were going to Nashville, TN for Thanksgiving then that made me really excited, I planned our trip in advance and we were able to visit Belle Meade Plantation and Belmont Mansion.  The history behind these places are amazing and the men and women that ran the day to day business and social functions at both mansions amazes me.  I do plan to read these books again from fresh eyes since visiting these places now.

This is a rare opportunity to let you see the woman behind the writing of the blog Caffeinated Christian Raves - N - Reviews.  This is me with the sign advertising Tamera's book To Whisper Her Name in the gift shop of Belle Meade Plantation.

Here are a few goodies that I purchased while on my trip to Nashville, TN.  Of course, once our tour of Belmont Mansion was finished and I was in the gift shop I could not pass up purchasing the second book in the Belmont Mansion series.   My favorite thing to collect are postcards.  So, I purchased postcards from Belle Meade and a history booklet about Belle Meade Plantation.  I purchased a pictorial and history booklet from Belmont.  Oh yeah, I could not pass up the second book in the Belmont Mansion series either.

About Quilts of Love: Quilts tell stories of love and loss, hope and faith, tradition and new beginnings. TheQuilts of Love series focuses on the women who quilted all of these things into their family histories. A new book releases each month and features contemporary and historical romances as well as women's fiction and the occasional light mystery. You will be drawn into the endearing characters of this series and be touched by their stories.

About the book:

Sara doesn't think she wants love. But her grandmother has other plans.
Sara Jane Morgan is trying to balance teaching with caring for her ailing, stubborn grandmother. When school lets out for the summer, the plans are for Grandma to teach Sara Jane to quilt as they finish up the Appalachian Ballad quilt Grandma started as a teenager. But things don't always go as planned.
Andrew Stevenson is hiding from his past---and his future. He works as a handyman to pay the bills, but his heart is as an artisan, designing homemade brooms. When Sara Jane's grandmother hires him to renovate her home, sparks fly between Drew and his new employer's granddaughter.
Still, it doesn't take Sara Jane long to see Drew isn't what he seems. Questions arise, and she starts researching him online. What she discovers could change her life---and her heart---forever.

Learn more about this book and the series at the Quilts of Love website.

About the Authors:

Laura V. Hilton is an award-winning author and a professional book reviewer. A stay-at-home mom and home school teacher, Laura lives with her family in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas. Cindy Loven is active in the church and writes from her home in Conway, Arkansas, where she lives with her
husband and their son.

MY REVIEW:  I have fallen in love with the Quilts of Love Series!  It is a series of stand alone novels.  I like that it all is not in one setting or in one era, but it all reflects the individuality of each author and the main link is quilting.  This is a great introduction not only to authors I am familiar with and those that I am not so familiar with too.

Join Sara Jane's grandmother in the adventures of her playing matchmaker with her and her new handyman Drew.  It is bad enough when your friends try setting you up with someone now throw your somewhat senile grandmother in the match maker business.  It makes for some serious times and humorous times as well.

Will Sarah Jane find out Drew's true identity?  What secret is he hiding?  Can he be trusted? Join Sarah Jane as she finds the answers.  Will they find love or will they both walk away. You will have to read the stories to find out.

Imagine being medically trained at some of the most prestigious institutions in the world --- Harvard and Yale --- and turning your back on a lucrative medical career in private practice to care for the poor. As Klaus-Dieter John writes in his book, I Have Seen God, it was a dream he had since he was a young child, growing up in Germany. In high school, John met his future wife, Martina, who shared a similar dream to become a missionary doctor. After medical school, the Johns set out to fulfill their goal. "We shared exactly the same vision for our future," John shares. "We wanted to get the best medical training available and then work as missionary doctors for the rest of our lives."

John's journey took his family around the world, including stops in Ghana, South Africa and Ecuador, before settling in the highlands of Peru where he founded the Diospi Suyana Hospital. He has written I Have Seen God to tell the world about the miracles God is doing in this top-quality health facility serving the Indians of the Peruvian Andes.

I Have Seen God explains how the hospital, whose name is translated into the Quecha language as "we trust in God," has overcome the mire of bureaucracy and united Catholics and Protestants in one love for God and their fellow people. The ministry also reaches beyond the walls of the hospital --- with a dental clinic and teams that go into the villages to mentor and teach children.

John believes the stories told in I Have Seen God have the power to change lives, including his own. "When I was a medical student I would wonder whether God was real or if it was just wishful thinking. One night I shouted at the top of my voice, 'God where are you? I want to see you!' In the history of our hospital, God has become very visible to me and to the hundreds of thousands of people who have heard the story." John hopes readers will close the covers of his book more convinced than ever in the truth of a living God.

Advance Praise

"As Americans, we enjoy the most advanced medical care available to man. An international group of doctors and nurses led by Drs. Klaus-Dieter and Martina John has built a modern mission hospital as a ministry to the poorest Indians of southern Peru, allowing them to receive medical care we take for granted. We have much to be thankful for. Out of that sense of gratitude, let us use this opportunity to help the Indians of Peru."
~ Bill Hybels, Pastor, Willow Creek Community Church

"The story of Diospi Suyana hospital is a remarkable example of what happens when people take God seriously. I heartily recommend this account as compelling evidence that there is a God who cares."
~John Lennox, Professor of Mathematics, University of Oxford

Dr. Klaus-Dieter John grew up in Germany and met and fell in love with his wife, Martina, during his term as high school class president. The two bonded over the strong call they felt to obtain medical degrees in order to serve the medical needs of the poorest of the poor.
Dr. John began medical school in Germany, eventually completing his surgical training at Harvard and Yale in the U.S., as well as in Johannesburg, South Africa. Martina was trained in both Germany and the U.S. and is now a certified pediatrician in both countries.
Their medical missions work took them from Ghana to Ecuador, eventually bringing them to Peru, where they helped found the ministry Diospi Suyana in August of 2002. The main goal of Diospi Suyana was to maintain an interdenominational mission hospital, which was opened in the highlands of Peru in 2005. The ministry also operates a dental clinic, a school and a children's ministry in Curahuasi, Peru.

Learn more about Klaus-Dieter at: website

MY VIEW AND OPINION:  Wow!  What an amazing God we serve.  When God places a call on your life and none of the pieces seem to fit or things are not working out.  Just turn everything over to him in prayer and see what doors God opens for you when all seems shut.  This is Dr. Klaus-Dieter John and his wife Martina's journey from Germany to Peru to be medical missionaries to the poor of this country.  It is an amazing story of God's grace and providence.  This is a must read for Pastors, Missionaries and laypeople too.  I highly recommend this book.

Hi, I know I have not been blogging except about books lately.  So, the New Year is fast approaching and I will be doing some re-evaluation of my blog.  I am staying here on Blogspot and will not be changing names or moving my blog anywhere else for that matter.  I will take in consideration of doing a monthly post.   I will be broadening my horizons with the blogging.

I have really neglected this blog and will be posting more.  I will not commit to doing a daily, weekly or bi-weekly post at this time.  I just don't want to run out of things to say and I want it to be fun and not a chore.  So, if it is weekly, bi-weekly or monthly it will go either way.

I do love this time of year though.  Yes, I am one of those people since Halloween night I have been reading Christmas books and now it has turned chilly, I am enjoying Starbucks Christmas blend coffee and my Cozy Chamomile mixed with Mint Medley tea at night.  I am loving the Hallmark Christmas movies too!  Yep, I been watching them all month long and a not getting tired of them either.

There will be some surprises that come along on my blog too that I am really excited about and looking forward to when it comes available and all the details will be worked out.

I know a lot of books that I read are mainly Christian, but I do read some things that are not Christian and if I do I will be posting the reviews independently of the groups that I currently am reviewing for them.  There are some books that are not Christian that are really great reads and clean reads for that matter.

Here is hoping everyone has a safe and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!

God Bless,

Where Treetops Glisten
The crunch of newly fallen snow, the weight of wartime
Siblings forging new paths and finding love in three stories, filled with the wonder of Christmas
Turn back the clock to a different time, listen to Bing Crosby sing of sleigh bells in the snow, as the realities of America’s involvement in the Second World War change the lives of the Turner family in Lafayette, Indiana.
In Cara Putman’s White Christmas, Abigail Turner is holding down the Home Front as a college student and a part-time employee at a one-of-a-kind candy shop. Loss of a beau to the war has Abigail skittish about romantic entanglements—until a hard-working young man with a serious problem needs her help.
Abigail’s brother Pete is a fighter pilot hero returned from the European Theater in Sarah Sundin’s I’ll Be Home for Christmas, trying to recapture the hope and peace his time at war has eroded. But when he encounters a precocious little girl in need of Pete’s friendship, can he convince her widowed mother that he’s no longer the bully she once knew?
In Tricia Goyer’s Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, Meredith Turner, “Merry” to those who know her best, is using her skills as a combat nurse on the frontline in the Netherlands. Halfway around the world from home, Merry never expects to face her deepest betrayal head on, but that’s precisely what God has in mind to redeem her broken heart.
The Turner family believes in God’s providence during such a tumultuous time. Can they absorb the miracle of Christ’s birth and His plan for a future?

TRICIA GOYER is a prolific author of nearly forty books, including "Chasing Mona Lisa," and a speaker and blogger. CARA PUTMAN is the author of twenty books including "Shadowed by Grace." She is the winner of the 2008 Carol Award for historical fiction. SARAH SUNDIN is the critically-acclaimed author of the Wings of the Nightingale series, the Wings of Glory series, and the forthcoming Waves of Freedom novels.

THOUGHTS AND VIEW:  I love Christmas stories and what better era than World War II to top them off.  Tricia, Cara and Sarah turns back the clock to a time of war, families who took part in the war both abroad and on the home front.

Join the Turner family as they forge through relationships.  Where they learn to help your fellow man, forgiveness of others and self, love and the most important God's grace.  How many times do we jump to conclusions about an individual?  Can people really change?  Is there such thing as second chances at love?  These are just a few questions that are raised in these stories.

Come join the Turner's as they celebrate family and most of all the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.

: “Too Loved to be Lost” Kindle HDX Giveaway and Facebook Party with Debora Coty!

In Too Loved to Be Lost (Barbour Books, October 2014), you’ll find simple, practical steps for healing, refreshment, and revitalization of spirit, body, and faith. Whether you’re struggling with issues related to trust, depression, patience, relationships, hurts, or hopes. . .this humor-filled volume will deliver a much-needed smile and equip you with simple-to-implement tips for attaining the kind of guidance and belonging you crave—the kind that can only be found in the unconditional love of Papa God.

Debora M. Coty is a popular speaker, columnist, lifelong Bible student, internationally published freelance writer, and award-winning author of numerous books, including "Too Blessed to Be Stressed," and "More Beauty, Less Beast." She’s also an orthopedic occupational therapist, writing instructor, and tennis addict. Mother of two grown children, Debora lives and loves in central Florida with her husband, Chuck, and desperately wicked pooch, Fenway.

In our world a woman’s acceptance so often seems contingent on her looks, behavior, or talents. This can lead to fearing loss of acceptance, trying to outperform one another, and a warped view God as a ruthless, judgmental, stern entity just waiting for us to crash and burn. Debora M. Coty's new book, Too Loved to Be Lost: Discovering God’s Intentional, Unconditional, Without-Limits Loveoffers women simple, practical steps for finding healing, security, and revitalization of spirit, body, and faith.

MY THOUGHTS AND VIEWS ON THIS BOOK:  What a refreshing read!!!  This is mixed with humor and so much wisdom in little nuggets of truth.  Stories mixed with humor and truth that runs deep.  How do I see myself?  Do I see myself as an outsider or insider?

Debora does a wonderful job of telling stories mixed with nuggets of truth and even easy to learn monthly scripture memorization called "Lifesavers".  This is not a self-help book, but to me it is a self-reflection book.  It emphasizes the fact that I am loved by God even when I don't feel loved or lovable.  God loves me unconditionally and just as I am no strings attached.  This has been so much needed for me in the time that I needed it most.

Celebrate being "Too Loved" by entering Debora Coty's HDX giveaway and RSVPing to her Facebook party on November 6th.

THE PROMISE Kindle HDX Giveaway from Beth Wiseman!

The Promise
Mallory’s search for happiness leads her to a faraway place. There she finds heartache, betrayal—and danger.
Mallory Hammond is determined that no one will stand in the way of her goal—to save a life. She had that chance years ago, and she failed to take it, leaving her adrift and in search of the real meaning of her life. Finally, she meets a man online from a volatile corner of the world who offers her the chance to find that purpose. But she will have to leave everyone she loves behind in order to take it.

Tate Webber has loved Mallory for many years. He understands that Mallory will never be happy with him until her deepest heart’s desire is satisfied. When Mallory decides to travel across the world to fulfill her dreams, Tate begs her not to go but tries to give her the space she needs. Mallory embarks on her dangerous journey only to discover how swiftly and easily promises can be broken. And Mallory can only pray that she will make it out alive.
Inspired by actual events, The Promise is a riveting love story that asks the question: how far will we go for love?

Beth Wiseman is the best-selling author of the Daughters of the Promise series and the Land of Canaan series. Having sold over 1.3 million books, her novels have held spots on multiple Bestseller lists. She was the recipient of the prestigious Carol Award in 2011 and 2013. In 2013 she took home the coveted Holt Medallion. Her first book in the Land of Canaan series--"Seek Me With All Your Heart"--was selected as the 2011 Women of Faith Book of the Year. Beth lives in Texas with her family.

MY THOUGHTS AND VIEWS:  Every so often there comes along a book that takes a 180 degree turn from the ordinary girl meets boy story.  This is such a read I ended up with more than questions and less answers.

We meet Mallory Hammond and Tate Weber as they pursue their relationship with each other, their families, friends and all important their faith.   Tate was brought up in the Catholic church and faith, but Mallory has none of that upbringing.  So she starts doubting her relationship with Tate and what she truly believes.  Then she is introduced to someone online that leads her on a journey that she never thought would take her away from her family, friends and faith.

Will Mallory find her way back home?  Will she find faith in God?  Where will this journey take her?  Will she leave her family, friends and job to meet a man that she just met online? How far is too far that you can't get back home?

It is a thought provoking, edge of your seat journey from a small town in Texas to clear across the world.  This book makes a great addition to your library.

In a daring new novel, Beth Wiseman jumps way outside the box. The Promise will take readers far away from Amish country and small Texas towns to a dangerous place on the other side of the world. Inspired by actual events, this is the book Beth has been working toward for a long time.

THE MASON JAR Kindle Fire Giveaway from James Russell Lingerfelt!

The Mason Jar

What if your old college roommate called, raving about a book someone sent her, calling it the most beautiful book she’s ever read? “But,” she said, “it’s about you.” The author is your college ex.
In The Mason Jar, Clayton Fincannon is a Tennessee farm boy raised at the feet of his grandfather. He and his grandfather leave letters for each other in a Mason jar on his grandfather’s desk—letters of counsel and affirmation. When Clayton attends college in Southern California, he meets and falls in love with a dark debutante from Colorado. However, when an unmentioned past resurrects in her life and she leaves, Clayton is left with unanswered questions.
Clayton goes on to serve as a missionary in Africa, while he and his grandfather continue their tradition of writing letters. When Clayton returns home five years later to bury his grandfather, he searches for answers pertaining to the loss of the young woman he once loved. Little does Clayton know, the answers await him in the broken Mason jar.
A story about a girl who vanished, a former love who wrote a book about her, and a reunion they never imagined.
Written for the bruised and broken, The Mason Jar is an inspirational romance that brings hope to people who have experienced disappointment in life due to separation from loved ones. With a redemptive ending that encourages us to love again and written in the fresh, romantic tones of Nicholas Sparks, The Mason Jar interweaves the imagery of Thoreau with the adventures and climatic family struggles common to Dances with WolvesA River Runs Through It, and Legends of the Fall.

James Russell Lingerfelt is the author of "The Mason Jar" and writes articles for "The Huffington Post." James connects with readers at his blog, Love Story from the Male Perspective, and divides his time between Southern California and his family's ranch in Alabama.

MY THOUGHTS AND OPINION OF THIS BOOK:  I can truthfully say this was not my favorite read.  I am not a big fan of Nicholas Sparks and this had him written all the way through it.

I was looking for a book that yes maybe the characters were not Christian, but they eventually discovered a relationship with Jesus Christ.  I did not see this in the book. Clayton was raised by his Grandfather and had a great relationship with him.  The main references to God was the Grandfather's relationship with Jesus and him being a missionary.  The only "missionary" work that Clayton managed to do was mainly humanitarian aide for orphans.

There was no redemption in this book.  The only thing I saw was this being about Clayton and his feelings toward a woman he fell in love with in college and was reunited with her later on at a class reunion.

I was not impressed at all with this novel.  I was expecting more, but I was left with a "bleh"feeling after reading this book.

Children ages 4-8 will be delighted by these rhyming Bible stories pairing spiritual truths with playful illustrations.

He is best known for illustrating dozens of books in the Beginner's Bible series, including "The Beginner's Bible" (over 1.25 million copies sold).

THOUGHTS AND VIEWS OF THIS BOOK:  This is a wonderfully written and illustrated Bible Story book.  I loved the Bible Stories and loved how they were simple where kids could understand it, but yet they were so profound.  Another thing that I loved about this book is that it gave the Bible references where each story could be found in the Bible.

The sing song and rhyming of the stories are really makes things easy to read and understand for the little ones.  This makes a great companion to the children's Read To Me Bible.  I found this to be a great new addition to your home library or a new treasure to be passed down through the new generations.  So, come read and enjoy the stories of the Bible as they are brought alive with words and illustrations too.

“Love & Cupcakes” Kindle Giveaway and Facebook Party from Betsy St.Amant!

All’s Fair in Love and Cupcakes
Kat inspected rows of the same old cupcakes. They seemed to blink back at her, as if they knew she was capable of so much more.
Kat Varland has had enough of chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry.
At twenty-six years old, Kat is still living in the shadows of her family in Bayou Bend, Louisiana. Still working shifts at her Aunt Maggie’s bakery. Still wondering what to do with her passion for baking and her business degree. And still single.
But when Lucas Brannen, Kat’s best friend, signs her up for a reality TV bake-off on Cupcake Combat, everything Kat ever wanted is suddenly dangled in front of her: creative license as a baker, recognition as a visionary . . . and a job at a famous bakery in New York.
As the competition heats up, Lucas realizes he might have made a huge mistake. As much as he wants the best for Kat, the only thing he wants for himself—her—is suddenly in danger of slipping away.
The bright lights of reality cooking wars and the chance at a successful career dazzle Kat’s senses and Lucas is faced with a difficult choice: help his friend achieve her dreams . . . or sabotage her chances to keep her in Louisiana.

Betsy St. Amant lives in Louisiana with her young daughter and has a heart for sharing the amazing news of God's grace through her novels. A freelance journalist, Betsy is a member of American Christian Fiction Writers. When she’s not reading, writing, or singing along to a Disney soundtrack with her daughter, Betsy enjoys inspirational speaking and teaching on the craft of writing.

MY THOUGHTS AND VIEWS OF THIS BOOK:  This was an enjoyable chick-lit read.  I really enjoyed the story of Lucas and Kat.  It was both predictable and unpredictable.  I think it was neat how Betsy took you behind the scenes of a "reality" cooking show instead of watching it.  It gets you to thinking what goes on behind the scenes of these "reality" shows and how much work goes into making them.

It was fun, entertaining and serious at the same time.   The relationship between Kat and Lucas was both frustrating and mundane at times.  Kat is torn between her creative side and  having to make the same three flavors of cupcakes in her aunt's Cupcake Shop.  Does she stay in Louisiana or does she have to leave her home, family and friends behind to make the kind of cupcakes she wants to make or be stuck in the same place and making the same thing everyday.   You will have to read the book to find out!

Don't miss Betsy St. Amant's latest fiction release, All's Fair in Love and Cupcakes. A "sweet" tale of two best friends and the choices they make between dreams and a possible "sure thing," St. Amant's novel is sure to satisfy your romantic-fiction craving.

Betsy is celebrating with a fun Kindle giveaway and a Love & Cupcakes Facebook party! One winner will receive:
  • A brand new Kindle
  • All's Fair in Love and Cupcakes by Betsy St. Amant

All Right Here by Carre Armstrong Gardner Review

Ivy Darling can’t have children of her own, and her husband Nick’s resentment is forcing them apart. And while Ivy has the support and love of her large, close-knit family, Nick’s family has never welcomed her into the fold.

When the three children next door are abandoned by their mother, Ivy and Nick take them in for the night. One night becomes several, and suddenly Ivy and Nick find themselves foster parents to the only African-American kids in the town of Copper Cove, Maine. As Ivy grows more attached to the children, Nick refuses to accept their eclectic household as a permanent family. Just as Ivy begins to question whether or not she wants to save her emotionally barren marriage, Nick begins to discover how much Ivy and the children mean to him. But is his change of heart too little, too late?

MY THOUGHTS ABOUT THIS BOOK:  This is an excellent read for me.  There is never a dull moment in the book.  The author steps out and touches on infertility, foster parenting and interracial issues too.  Ivy has always felt like an outsider as far as her husband's family is concerned.  They purposefully exclude her from family events and ignore her during family gatherings too.

She is feeling the pressure of struggling with infertility.  An African-American family moves next door and when their mother leaves and does not return the Darlings have no choice, but to take the children in their home.  One night leads to them on a journey of being foster parents to the children.  Ivy's family loves and accepts the children as part of her family, but Nick's family refuses to accept them and makes their prejudices known in uncertain terms.

Will Ivy and Nick be able to save their marriage before it is too late?   Will he accept the truth that he and Ivy may never have children of their own?  Will he accept Ivy and the children as part of his life?  You will have to read the book to find out.

Deborah Raney’s books have won numerous awards, including the RITA, National Readers Choice Award, HOLT Medallion, and the Carol Award, and have twice been Christy Award finalists. She and her husband, Ken, recently traded small-town life in Kansas—the setting of many of Deborah’s novels—for life in the (relatively) big city of Wichita, where they enjoy gardening, antiquing, movies, and traveling to visit four children and a growing brood of grandchildren who all live much too far away. MY TAKE ON THIS BOOK:  This was a great read!  I enjoyed this read.  It took you into the everyday lives and the not so perfect lives of the Whitman family.   Audrey has finally realized her dream of opening an inn.  This is going to be a perfect weekend for the Grand Opening.  She has planned everything to perfection until an unexpected guest arrives in driveway pulling a u-haul.  Will this weekend go as planned or end in totally disaster?  Who is the guest that shows up unexpectedly?  How long will they stay?  You will have to read the story to find out the answers to the questions.

The only thing is that I found myself asking about this book is when and where have I read this story before.  I was thinking that this book was written under a different title by the same author.  It was predictable in some parts, but never a dull moment in the book.   Just raised a lot of questions that I had this book somewhere along my journey.  I can't wait to read more books by Deborah Raney.

Quilts of Love | A GRAND DESIGN – Kindle HDX Giveaway & “Fall into Fall” Facebook Party!

A getaway on a charming island may be just what Alyssa needs—if only she can let go of her past. When Alyssa Denham, a single career woman, wins a fun getaway for two on Mackinac Island where her grandmother lives, she gives her carefree best friend a call. Together, they tour the old shops and hidden treasures of the quaint island while helping Alyssa’s grandmother piece together an heirloom quilt. Their quest gains them entrance into the homes of many longtime residents of the island, parts of the city that are otherwise off limits to tourists. As the quilt’s story takes shape, Alyssa gains amazing insight into her grandmother’s life . . . and attracts the attention of the handsome Scott Whitman, an island resident in charge of hotel transportation. Will memories of her past keep Alyssa from letting go? Or will the quest to piece together the heirloom quilt restore Alyssa’s fractured heart—and bring healing to her entire family? Find our more and purchase a copy at the Quilts of Love website.

I am really enjoying this series of books.  I like it that it is a "series" without being a series.  It does not matter if this is the first book that you are reading or the tenth one that you are reading.  So pack your bags join Alyssa and her BFF to Mackinac Island for a two week getaway.  Join Alyssa as she helps her grandmother with a project of piecing together a quilt.  The author does an excellent job of taking us on the journey of Alyssa.  There are things in her past that she has held inside and told no one not even her BFF.   When her past comes rushing back, will she make peace with her past or continue to let her past hold her back from having a relationship with her Grandmother and finding love.   Join the journey and if you are looking for a great "series" that does not have to be read in any order then by all means join the Quilts of Love Series.

I am back from my hiatus.  I have not left my resolution of exploring new and "new to me authors".  I am still exploring different genres and discovering what I really like and what is not my favorites.

I will be posting more and exciting reads on my blog.  I will have not only a Christmas book review and even a children's book too!  I do hope everyone has had a great summer and looking forward to school and college starting.  I had a great summer visiting family that I have not seen in a long time.  Also, it was a bitter sweet time saying goodbye to some dear friends after 24 years of great times, laughs and just spending time together.

I have really had to step back and reevaluate some of my schedule.  I had to cram in so much to read.  Biggest lesson learned:  I don't have to say yes to everything that comes along and I must pace myself.  So, there might not be a lot of stuff on my blog, but it will be at my pace and what I can read in the allotted time so that I can give the best reviews and not be so rushed with things.

If you have any questions about the books that I have read and not clarified in my reviews and you want to know more just let me know.  Also, if the author is new to you and want my input just ask and I will try to answer them.

I know I have been reading Quilts of Love Series a lot, but I am finding it to be great reads.  This is a series that is not a series and I am enjoying the fact that no matter where you start each book is a stand alone book.  So, my first review this month is a Quilts of Love Series book.  I think after this one I will be looking for something new to read.

If you are a new reader welcome and if you have been reading my blog and checking my blog out and wondering where I have been ...... well I AM BACK!!!!!

God bless,
