Kindle Giveaway, Blog Tour, and Author Chat Party with Colleen Coble

A Heart’s Obsession (Thomas Nelson, April 2015)
Will Sarah’s journey west lead her back into the arms of the one man she can trust?
When her father succumbs to a long illness, Sarah Montgomery is freed from duty to family. At last she can be with the love of her life, Rand Campbell, who has gone out west to Fort Laramie, Wyoming. Sarah and her younger brother Joel make the arduous journey filled with hope.
But at Fort Laramie, the reception Sarah meets isn’t what she had hoped for. Her friend Amelia is thrilled to have her, but Rand seems to be in the clutches of Jessica DuBois, the scheming daughter of the post commander.
Sarah resolves to remain at Fort Laramie and try to win Rand back. But things will get tougher before they get easier . . . especially when her ex-fiancé Ben Croftner arrives in Wyoming, obsessed with having her back in his arms.

USA Today bestselling author Colleen Coble has written several romantic suspense novels including “Tidewater Inn,” “Rosemary Cottage,” and the Mercy Falls, Lonestar, and Rock Harbor series.

MY REVIEW OF THIS BOOK:  This is the second book in Journey of the Heart series.  I must say this is an excellent series!  It is wonderful to have a novel broken down into a series especially for those on the go who don't have time for a full length novel, but has time for a novella or a series.

Join Colleen Coble as she takes you to Fort Laramie, Wyoming in 1865.  The Civil War has just came to an end and the West has yet to be "won".   She continues the story of Sarah Montgomery and Rand Campbell.  Will they truly be together? Or will they each go separate ways?

I love an author that evokes emotions from you.   If it is not tears that they cause you to shed, but just want to smack some of the characters or just want to shake them into seeing what is right in front of them.   Colleen Coble does just that in this series.   Your emotions are all across the board with these characters.  You are mourning and wanting to smack someone at the same time.   So, come take the journey and see what is in store for you with this series.

Do you have a bucket list yet?  Do you have a list of places you want to go?  Things you want to do?  If you do, what is holding you back from fulfilling your list.

I must be honest with you that for a long time I have had one thing that I wanted to do and it has been to attend the Alabama Book Festival in Old Alabama Town Downtown Montgomery.  I must say the weather never cooperated (it was either too cold or just a stormy day) or I just plain forgot about it.

So, this year I decided I was going to go anyway.  I marked the date and watched the weather hoping for a great day.  So, I grabbed a buddy and we went to the Book Festival.  I must say that it was an exciting day for me.  I was in my element.  I so much enjoyed just taking my time looking at the different books that were available and just chatting with the authors too.  It was so interesting to read about them get their material and hear their stories.  It afforded me the opportunity to see what writers were interested in and surprisingly there were a few Christian authors sprinkled in the mix too.

The highlight of the day was hearing Rick Bragg speak and actually being able to ask a question and getting it answered was neat too.  Also, I did purchase one of his books and got his autograph too.   I am super excited about going again next year and really see what happens next year.  Who knows what my future holds.

God bless,

Tia Johnson

God, Me & Sweet Iced Tea Devotional

God, Me, and Sweet Iced Tea (Lighthouse Publishing of the Carolinas, July 2013)
In the South, nothing is more refreshing than a glass of sweet iced tea. Nothing, that is, except experiencing God in those small, everyday moments.
God, Me, and Sweet Iced Tea is a deeply personal collection of spiritual treasures designed to help readers experience new mercies each morning. Seasoned with insight and grace, this tender devotional points to the divine presence of God in everyday moments. God, Me, and Sweet Iced Tea will help readers develop a daily habit of turning to God in those quiet moments of reflection.

Rose Chandler Johnson's devotions, poems, and articles have appeared in numerous Christian publications. She enjoys writing for her popular blog, Write Moments with God, and engaging with her readers. Rose is from a tiny Georgia town, and has lived near Augusta, Georgia, for the last twenty-eight years. For the last twenty years, Rose has been a French and English teacher. She's also worked as a counselor, librarian, and ESOL teacher. Rose enjoys baking, gardening, and spending time with her six children and their families.

MY VIEWS AND THOUGHTS OF THIS READ:  This is the very first devotional that I have signed up for to review.  I thoroughly enjoyed this devotional.  It was light enough especially for busy moms and people who are on the go a lot, but yet it gave you room to read the scriptures and reflect on them throughout the day.  It also gave you space to write your thoughts and a question for the day to reflect on in your personal Bible Study time.

So, pour you a glass of Sweet Tea; grab your Bible, Pen and Journal and spend some time with God in this small, but powerful Devotional.
